DESIGNING a BETTER, HEALTHIER
& more
RESILIENT FUTURE
My heart goes out to all those who have been recently impacted by the fires in Los Angeles, especially those that lost their homes. Evacuating or losing your home to a wildfire is a terrifying and an incredibly heartbreaking experience.
Having personally escaped from the Redwood Complex Fire with my wife and children in 2017, I understand the profound devastation and the impact wildfires leave behind on effected people and their communities.
As an architect involved in designing homes and rebuilding in areas at high risk for fires, my wildfire experience reshaped the way I approach these designs. I have dedicated my experience into creating fire-resilient homes, grounded in Passive House Design principles. By combining fire-resilient design with energy efficiency, health, and sustainability, I aim to provide families with not only safety but also a better quality of life for the future.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
Sincerely,
Christopher Haas, founder, HAAS Architecture
